UDA Summer Camp The Sparkler Dance Team attended UDA dance camp at UL Lafayette this summer, where they earned a 1st place trophy for home routine and a superior trophy for their overall performance qualifying them for UDA Nationals. Seniors, Catherine Mahtook, Christina Mahtook, Brianne Thibodeaux, Amelia Broussard, Stefani Domingue, Blayr Carbo, Leah Favaloro and Anne K Thomas were selected as All Americans. The team also received the Full Out Award, Super Spirit Stick Award, Superior Drill Down Award and the prestigious Leadership Award. Dedication, hard work, responsibility, and in good standings with the school Who Joins? Try outs for the Sparklers are held in the spring. They are conducted by impartial judges. The dancers who make the team can expect to perform at football games and home varsity basketball games. They will also perform at pep rallies, assemblies, and various other school functions.
