Responsibilities
Parent Responsibilities • Hold your son/daughter accountable
• All actions have consequences
• Keep expectations reasonable – stretch don’t break
• When in doubt, check first with the teacher for his/her assistance ASP Director Responsibilities • Review and update student files
• Inform students, parents, and teachers of Academic Support Program’s procedures and accommodations
• Work in conjunction with grade level counselors and teachers to help students meet their goals
• Provide educational workshops on pertinent topics
• Provide a quiet, distraction free area for extended time testing Teacher Responsibilities • Be available to answer students’ questions during your tutoring times
• Assess student progress often and in a timely fashion
• Be pro-active
• Inform students, parents and counselors if you become concerned about a student’s performance
• Share your expertise
