Scholarships for Incoming 8th Graders

Yvonne B. Jumonville Academic Scholarship

The recipient is awarded $500 every year for four years.  Incoming students must submit an application which includes report cards for 6th, 7th and the most recent for 8th grade showing they have a 3.5 grade point average; standardized test scores, 3 letters of recommendation, an activities sheet, and a 200-word essay on “Why I Would Like To Attend STM.”

Harry and Jesse Greig Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is available for incoming ninth grade students who will be a member of the STM band.  Information about the scholarship can be found through the Development Office.  Applications will be available at registration.

Tuition Assistance/Work-Study Program

Families may apply for tuition assistance through the St. Thomas More Work-Study Program upon payment of the registration fee.  Program criteria and applications are available from the business office, and should be submitted no later than April 15, 2005.  Assistance is given on the basis of need as determined by the Grant Committee, and the decisions of the Committee are final.  Notification of assistance is made by the Principal in May or early June. Students who receive tuition assistance through the Work-Study Program are required to perform service hours.
