Principal's Message

Welcome to St. Thomas More Catholic High School. I invite you to review our website to learn about the many outstanding options in our school.  We have a vibrant Campus Ministry program that has an exceptional record of helping high school youth develop a stronger faith life.  I have had the opportunity to visit numerous Catholic high schools and have never seen a student body so active in their faith life.  Our religion department works hand in hand to build a strong Catholic foundation based on Gospel values.  We invite you to visit our weekly Masses on Thursday mornings to experience what a warm and prayerful community exists at STM.

We also have a dedicated faculty that works diligently to ensure our students have a rigorous and relevant education.  Their success relies upon first developing relationships with the students and finding ways to make the curriculum connect to the students’ lives.  The teachers then incorporate 21st century skills and technology so our students will be prepared for jobs that have not even been invented yet.  Here is a brief video that inspires me to ensure that our students leave STM prepared for college and able to collaborate within a global society.

Our athletic program is very competitive and is well known throughout the state.  The Cougars have brought home many state championships and district titles.  Our Lady Cougars are just as successful as the young men.  We have many no-cut sports as well, so all students can have an opportunity to be a part of a team.  Athletics teach team building skills and life fitness habits that are also important for success in the 21st century.   Our extracurricular activities are numerous and student led.  At STM, it is easy to find a group to be a part of and develop new interests and friendships.  Student leadership is developed and passions are pursued.  The school is the perfect size:  large enough to offer a variety of opportunities and small enough for every student to be known.  STM offers the kind of high school experience that will be memorable and meaningful.  Graduates of STM have a college attendance rate of nearly 100 percent; our students gain admission into selective colleges and universities throughout the country.  We have dedicated counselors and college advisors that help with the search, application, and admissions processes.  Each student has a personalized college plan and access to state-of-the-art programs that allow you, your son/daughter, the counselors, and colleges to connect online.
